Hollow

A fiction theme with chapter navigation that remembers where you were.

== Description ==

Serial fiction is read across weeks, in chapters, usually on a phone at night. Hollow saves the reading position locally and offers to resume, keeps chapter navigation at both ends of every chapter, and defaults to a dark scheme after sunset in the reader’s own timezone.

Chapters are a hierarchy under a work, so a story with parts and chapters navigates correctly and an index page generates itself.

Type is set for long sessions: a slightly larger base size, generous leading, and a maximum line length that stays comfortable at 200% zoom.

== Screenshots ==

Numbered the way they ship in /assets/. Click any one to see it full width.

== Installation ==

  • Install and activate the theme.
  • Create a work, then chapters as child pages.
  • The index, navigation and resume prompt generate themselves.

Reading position is stored in the browser, not on the server. No account, no tracking.

== Frequently asked questions ==

Does resume work across devices?

No, deliberately. Syncing it would mean accounts and storing what people read.

Content warnings?

A per-chapter field displayed above the chapter, collapsible, and included in the index.
