== Description ==

A design system that lives in a separate documentation site drifts from the site it documents within a quarter. Purlin ships a pattern library page rendered from the actual registered patterns, so what is documented is what exists, by construction.

Every pattern is named for what it does — “three services with icons” rather than “Section 4” — which is the difference between an editor finding the right one and inserting the first one.

Section-level style controls let an editor change a band’s emphasis without opening a colour picker, so a page stays inside the system while still being theirs.

== Installation ==

• Install and activate the theme.
• Open the Pattern Library page it creates.
• Build pages from patterns rather than from blank blocks.

The library page regenerates from registered patterns, so a pattern you add appears without editing it.

== Frequently asked questions ==

Can I add my own patterns?

Yes, from a child theme, and they appear in the library automatically.

Is the library page public?

It is private by default and can be published if you want it as documentation.
